A kundli — also called a jathakam (జాతకం) or janma kundali (జన్మ కుండలి) — is a Vedic birth chart that maps the positions of the nine planets (navagrahas) at the exact moment and place of your birth. It is the foundation of Vedic astrology (jyotishyam) and is used to understand your personality, strengths, challenges, relationships and life events across time.

Understanding Vimshottari Dasha (దశ పద్ధతి)
The Vimshottari dasha system divides your life into planetary periods (dashas) totalling 120 years, each ruled by one of the nine planets (navagrahas). The starting dasha is determined by the nakshatra your Moon occupies at birth. Each major period (maha dasha) is further subdivided into sub-periods called antardasha or bhukti, helping you identify which life area — career, relationships, health or finances — is active at any given time.
